COMMITMENTS
Corpinnat's values are based on non-negotiable commitments that make no concessions and form the foundation of one of the most demanding regulations in the world: we preserve our landscape, defend the historical varieties of the territory, certify our sustainability from vineyard to cellar, always harvest by hand, press and vinify exclusively on the estate, and ensure the long aging of our sparkling wines with the quality, rigor, and respect for origin demanded by the constant pursuit of excellence. This is our way of understanding wine.
We are Corpinnat.
COMMITTED
TO A WAY
OF DOING THINGS
The combination of a very unique set of cultural, historical, geographical, climatological, and winemaking elements traces a map with precise boundaries that delimit the Corpinnat territory, the most authentic and genuine cradle of the country's first sparkling wines that were born and raised in the heart of a historic region like the Penedès.
Our commitment to sustainability and preserving the landscape is reflected throughout the entire crafting process of our sparkling wines. That is why at Corpinnat we certify that 100% of the vineyards, grapes, and vinification process of our wineries is 100% organic.
More than 90% of our grapes come from the historical varieties of the territory: Xarel·lo, Macabeu, Parellada, Xarel·lo Vermell, Sumoll, Garnatxa Negra, and Monastrell. The commitment to reach 100% historical varieties by the 2035 harvest reaffirms Corpinnat's commitment to the territory and its winemaking tradition.
Harvesting 100% of our grapes by hand is one of the commitments of Corpinnat wineries to the quality of our long-aged sparkling wines. Manual harvesting allows us to make a selection in the vineyard and respect the integrity of the grapes until they reach our wineries.
Corpinnat is the only regulation in the country that guarantees that all its sparkling wines are made entirely with grapes pressed and vinified on the estate. The purchase of base wine, bottles on lees, or any raw material other than grapes is not permitted under any circumstances. This commitment champions the winemaker's craft and guarantees rigorous control over the style and quality of the wine from the vineyard to the bottle.
The unique characteristics of the territory endow Corpinnat sparkling wines with great aging potential. For this reason, we guarantee a minimum aging of 18 months, well above the minimums established by the most demanding regulations of designations of origin around the world, and we ensure that each winery has, at least, one vintage sparkling wine with a minimum of 60 months of aging.
We promote a value chain that respects all its stakeholders and dignify the role of the winegrower through fair partnerships and long-term contracts with a guaranteed minimum grape price, well above the average price established by other designations of origin in the territory.
Corpinnat is a European Union collective mark with one of the most demanding regulations in the world. All Corpinnat wineries certify compliance with the requirements established by the Mark's Regulations of Use through external audits carried out by Bureau Veritas, and we craft our quality sparkling wines under the standards of rigor and excellence of one of the most demanding regulations in the winemaking world.
